Horse ridings is a very beautiful activity that takes place to the Municipal department of Kalliopi in Lemnos, every year at Saint Georgios day, since the era of Turkish occupation.

Even the Turks respected Saint Georgios since the horse ridings had two teams. One Greek and one Turkish.

Only in 1940 stopped for 2 years, since there was no young men, due to the war.
